What We Do

We exist to empower and unite communities starting with the soles of our children.

We have the nation’s 5th largest school district, and almost half are considered to be living in poverty.

According to the 2015 Kids Count Profile produced by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Nevada ranks 47th overall (1st=best and 50th=worst) among all states in regards to childhood well-being. The youth in Nevada are facing major issues including hunger, insecurity, homelessness, and emotional difficulty.

We exist to help ease the conditions caused by poverty in Nevada starting with providing new and gently worn shoes to our children. Among the range of issues faced by the Nevada youth, we believe shoes are the first step in empowering children to be seen and heard with confidence. By creating partnerships and programs that help spread awareness and provide shoes to those in need, we – as a community – can bring a level of normality to the kids who deserve an equal chance at success.

Our mission is to have Sole Angels establish a presence in 10% of Las Vegas Title 1 Schools by 2017.

Meeting this goal will be a small milestone part of a much larger picture. There are over 150 Title 1 School in Nevada and we are determined to make a difference in all of them.
